Konrad Kuhmann

Konrad Kuhmann holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Humboldt-University Berlin, joint with the Berlin School of Economics (2024). His thesis is titled “Three Essays on Unconventional Monetary Policy, Credit Supply and Investment”. During his doctoral studies, he also spent time as a visiting researcher at Columbia University, New York. Konrad holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Cologne and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southampton.
Konrad joined the Monetary Policy Department at Latvijas Banka in October 2024. Prior to this, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Economic Policy at Humboldt-University Berlin. Konrad’s research focuses on topics in Macro-Finance and Monetary Economics with an emphasis on the role of financial markets for the transmission of monetary policy to the real economy.
