Miks started his career as an economist at the Monetary Policy Department of Latvijas Banka in 2025. His professional duties include analysing the European banking system, with a particular focus on lending in the euro area.

Miks earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Business from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga in 2026.

He is interested in modelling, econometrics, and the application of artificial intelligence to research methodology.
