Laura Treimane holds an academic Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from Riga Technical University, earned through a double-degree programme in collaboration with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. She has also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Marketing and Advertising from Riga Stradiņš University. She put her skills to the test at the Global Climate Science Olympiad in 2021, where she reached the finals. Laura has broadened her professional expertise by attending multiple training courses and seminars abroad, including those at the University of Oxford, the Florence School of Banking and Finance, the IMF, the ECB, etc.

Prior to starting her career at Latvijas Banka in 2023, she gained experience in advocacy and leadership roles in non-governmental organisations. In 2022, her contributions were recognised with nominations for the European Charlemagne Youth Prize, the Baltic Sustainability Awards, and Forbes 30 Under 30 Latvia List.
