Edvards Kušners has acquired higher education in biology, international economic relations, and law.

Edvards Kušners started his career at Latvijas Banka in 2003 as Deputy Head of the Legal Department. He has also served as Member of the Council of Latvijas Banka and Adviser to the Governor of Latvijas Banka. Edvards Kušners is currently Adviser to the Council of Latvijas Banka and Head of Sustainability.

Prior to his employment with Latvijas Banka, he worked as Director of the European Integration Bureau, External Adviser to the Prime Minister on public administration matters, and Member of the Strategic Analysis Commission of the President of Latvia.
