Ernests Romanovs started his career as an econometrician at the Research Division of the Monetary Policy Department at Latvijas Banka in 2024 shortly after acquiring a Bachelor's degree in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga.

Ernests' responsibilities include developing short-term forecast models for Latvian economic indicators, as well as conducting research on relevant topics in the Latvian economy.
