Miķelis Zondaks started his career in Macroeconomic Analysis Division of Latvijas Banka's Monetary Policy Department in May 2019. His area of responsibility covered the analysis of labour market as well as that of the EU funds developments and their macroeconomic impact.

Now, he continues his work in the Secretariat to the Council & International Relations Division, focusing on international relations issues on the agendas of the EU and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Prior to his employment at Latvijas Banka, he studied Analytical Economics at the University of Latvia and worked with business competitiveness related issues in both public and private sectors.
